Sinhala & Hindu Sri Lankan New Year

THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED. A REPLACEMENT EVENT FOR LATE 2020 IS BEING PLANNED.
The Sinhala and Hindu New Year falls in the month of April every year. It is celebrated by Sinhala Buddhists and Tamil Hindus in Sri Lanka. They set their eyes on the new moon before the New Year. We make preparations and decorate our houses before the New Year dawns.
Sri Lanka Association of NSW Inc is organising a multicultural Sinhala and Hindu New Year in Sydney. We encourage everyone to join the festival celebration.

Events and Contributions
Do social good in a different voluntary capacity. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our association. The president and the committee members are volunteers too. You can gain new skills, share your existing ones and meet new friends through volunteering in a different capacity. It is a way to stay active and engaged with the community. It’s also a way for you to give back to the community and help people who need a hand.
